About the Recognition
The first new WRAP CoD is WellSurgent Corporation, a peer-operated nonprofit organization based in North Carolina, dedicated to promoting wellness and recovery through collaboration, education, and training.
WellSurgent's commitment to WRAP is rooted in the personal and professional experiences of its leadership, whose involvement with WRAP extends back more than 15 years. This experience predates the organization itself and continues to shape its approach to education and facilitation.
Through WRAP Seminars, Facilitator Training, and continuing education, WellSurgent supports individuals and organizations in bringing WRAP to their communities. Its work emphasizes lived experience, mutual learning, personal choice, and the belief that people are the experts on their own wellness and recovery.
As a WRAP Center of Distinction, WellSurgent remains committed to honoring the values, ethics, and fidelity that make WRAP a meaningful and empowering process.

WellSurgent owners and WRAP ALFs Patty and Ron Schaeffer shared the following:
WRAP has changed both of our lives and has been an important part of our personal journeys of recovery and wellness. For us, WRAP is more than something we facilitate. It is something we live. It helps us better understand ourselves, recognize what works for our wellness, and discover new possibilities as life changes.
Over the years, we've committed ourselves to providing the best training experiences possible, giving people the tools, encouragement, and support they need to succeed. We genuinely want people to succeed, and we believe the little things matter. Authenticity, kindness, and a commitment to doing the next right thing guide our work.
Being recognized as a WRAP Center of Distinction is especially meaningful because it acknowledges that commitment. We honor WRAP's values, ethics, and fidelity not simply because they are requirements, but because we believe it's the right thing to do.
At the heart of it all is hope. We believe recovery and wellness are possible, and we're grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside others as they discover what works for them, live their lives their own way, and carry that wellness forward.
